Beginning Birding at Phalen and Round Lakes

Come and learn about birding, including how to use binoculars and a field guide. St. Paul Audubon is collaborating with the  St. Paul Library  and the Urban Birding Collective to offer this beginning birding field trip.

INFORMATION      Dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes. Bring a brimmed hat and water; sunblock and bug dope advised. Loaner binoculars will be available.

DIRECTIONS     Exit MN-36 onto US-61 South. Go 1.2 miles to Frost Ave. Turn left onto Frost. Go 0.6 miles to traffic circle. Take first exit onto E. Shore Drive. Go 0.2 miles. Turn right to stay on E. Shore Drive. Go 500 ft to Boat Ramp parking lot. Meet in parking lot. 44.995550, -93.059734          

REGISTRATION     Required registration and limited to 15 participants. [Registration link available on SPAS website after June 1]

DIFFICULTY     1.5 mile asphalt route includes low gradual slopes, Porta Potty at parking lot.
